Welcome to the Uttarakhand State Chapter of the Indian Chest Society (UKICS), a professional body dedicated to promoting excellence in the field of respiratory medicine and thoracic care across Uttarakhand. UKICS was formally established and registered to bring together pulmonologists, chest physicians, and allied healthcare professionals working to combat respiratory diseases in the region.
UKICS is committed to improving lung health and supporting initiatives related to tuberculosis, asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and critical care through community outreach, academic engagement, and public health initiatives.
To raise awareness and promote prevention, early diagnosis, and effective management of respiratory diseases in Uttarakhand.
To conduct regular Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, workshops, conferences, and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
To support and encourage clinical and academic research in the field of pulmonology and allied disciplines.
To mentor and guide medical students, postgraduates, and young practitioners in the field of pulmonary medicine.
The Uttarakhand State Chapter of the Indian Chest Society (UKICS) is dedicated to improving respiratory health through education, research, and public outreach. We promote early diagnosis, support medical training, encourage ethical practice, and connect pulmonologists across the state.
